Contributions
Your GitHub contribution graph and streak on every new tab — the green squares, except they're whatever color your theme is.
The trailing-year heatmap from your GitHub profile, plus your current streak and total, right where you'll see it forty times a day. It reuses the same GitHub connection as the PR widget — connect once, both light up.
It wears your theme
GitHub's graph is always green. This one isn't — cell intensity mixes your active theme's accent over the widget surface, so the heatmap comes out amber on Butter, purple on Dracula, frost-blue on Nord. Five intensity levels, scaled to the busiest visible week rather than a fixed yardstick, so a quiet month still shows its shape.
Width-adaptive
The graph shows as many trailing weeks as physically fit the widget's width — a half-width card shows the last few months, a full-width strip shows the whole year. No horizontal scrolling, no squished cells; resize the widget and the window adjusts. Hover any cell for the exact count and date.
The streak
The footer reads like 1,284 contributions in the last year · 6-day streak. The streak counts consecutive days with at least one contribution, ending today — with one deliberate mercy: an empty today doesn't break it, because you might just not have pushed yet. It also absorbs the timezone skew between GitHub's profile-timezone bucketing and your local clock.
Add it to your dashboard
Press E to enter edit mode, A to add, pick Contributions. It drops in at six-wide, two-tall — a wide, short strip that sits nicely above or below the GitHub PR widget. If you're already connected to GitHub, it populates immediately; if not, one click runs the same OAuth flow.
Settings
None — deliberately. The graph always shows your trailing year, fitted to whatever size you make the widget. The header links to your GitHub profile.
Heads up
- It counts what GitHub counts. The data comes from GitHub's own contribution calendar, so private-repo contributions appear only if your GitHub profile settings include them.
- Marked sensitive for screenshots. Your activity cadence is personal, so the screenshot tool ( ⌘⇧S ) hides this widget by default — opt it in per-shot if you want to show off the streak.
- Thirty-minute cache. The calendar moves about once a day plus your own pushes, so the widget refreshes lazily. The refresh button in the toolbar forces it when you've just landed a commit and want the square filled in now.
